Huntington Beach and Disneyland

Nathan had a conference in Huntington Beach in June at an awesome resort, so we got to tag along. The pool area was huge and gorgeous and very kid friendly. Carter actually taught himself how to swim in their enormous hot tub and it even had 3 slides-the kids had a blast. We went to the beach one afternoon and the kids enjoyed that as well. Here is Carter's experience:

Then since we were already in the area, we stayed a couple more days to go to Disneyland. We hadn't been for almost 3 years and the kids thought we were the meanest parents ever! Disney was having a deal this year that if you did some community service, they'd give you a free pass. So, in March we made a quilt to donate to a dog shelter auction. The kids really helped pick the fabric, tie it, and stuff the pillows. Then we all delivered together and then Disney sent us our tickets. How cool is that?! That got us in one day, then we were able to get some more passes from Chevron for another day. So, we were quite the bargain vacationers! Grandma Crum, Jessica, Grant, Heather and Dylan, and the Gibsons joined us as well, so we had a fun, big group to enjoy the parks with. It was really awesome! Carter was hesitant every ride he went on, we had to literally drag him on some rides. Poor kid-had no idea what he was going to find on the other side of those doors. :) I think he'll enjoy it better next time when he knows what to expect. It was a great family trip though.

Oh how I miss that place. My bro lives in Huntington and my family and Sis are still there too. Don't miss all the traffic though!
