A WICKED Weekend

Allison, Mel, and I bought our tickets to see the Broadway Musical "Wicked" in San Francisco way back in December, and we've been looking forward to it ever since! Allison and I saw the play in New York five years ago, but Melanie hadn't seen it yet. So, we left Friday afternoon, drove into San Fran, found our hotel with no trouble at all (we had been told it was a pretty bad part of town, but it really wasn't too bad, the hotel was just fine, had free parking, and was within walking distance of the theater). We ate a quick dinner at Chevy's on the way to the theater, then took our seats for the show. The music, the clever story, great one-liners, it's such and awesome show! We loved it and sang the songs the rest of the weekend. We spent ALL day shopping at Union Square on Saturday. Melanie is 5 months pregnant, and she was a good sport watching Allison and I try on clothes all day and dragging her around. We did not leave empty handed, had a great dinner at Market Street Grill, then headed home-well, actually, we headed the wrong way at first, but it only took us 30 minute to realize we were going the wrong way. :) We eventually figured things out and got home. We are ever grateful for our husbands for letting us take this weekend get-away, and who were Daddy-extraordinares while we were gone. The kids didn't miss us a bit and we had one fabulous time!!
