Happy 40th Anniversary Mom and Dad

We had a surprise 40th Wedding Anniversary last month for my parents. Their wedding date is the 20th, but with Christmas and Monica's wedding, we had to wait a little bit to pull it off. They were so busy and tuckered out from everything else, they didn't have a clue what we were pulling off behind their backs. Months of planning, digging up old photos-so cute!, figuring out decorations and refreshments, putting together a little musical number, costumes, etc.-we went all out!

Mom and Dad met at Utah State in a dance class. He grew up in Delta, UT, she in Heber City. He grew up a farmer, she a "city girl" :). Mom made sure Dad went on a mission (to New York) and then they married soon after he returned. They've lived in several different cities and houses; some as a result of my dad being in the air force during Vietnam, and others because of job opportunities. They raised 7 fabulous, amazinginly talented, wonderful, beautiful daughters :) and continue to be sweethearts and the foundation of our family. We love them and are so grateful for their examples and support they've been to us for the last 40 years! Congratulations Mom and Dad!

I love it Callie. That is a great documentation of that night and a wonderful summary of Mom and Dad's last 40 years. Can I just cut and paste that whole entry into my blog/scrapbook? :)
